Weddings 


Following changes in government guidance on 4th July 2020 we are once again able to offer weddings at St Mary's. 

Marriage is a wonderful gift from God, and our aim is to help couples plan a very special wedding day and to lead them in preparation, not only for the service, but for married life afterwards.

You can marry at St Mary's if at least one of you:
  • lives in the parish of St Mary's
  • is on St Mary's electoral roll
  • has at any time lived in the parish for a period of at least 6 months 
  • has regularly gone to normal church services at St Mary's for a period of at least 6 months  
  • was baptised or confirmed in the parish 
or one of your parents, at any time after they were born:
  • has lived in the parish for a period of at least 6 months  
  • has at any time regularly gone to normal church services at St Mary's for a period of at least 6 months
or one of your parents or grandparents: 
  • was married in at St Mary's. 
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic services are subject to social distancing and a maximum of 30 people in attendance as outlined in government guidance, but please get in touch if you want to fidn out more.
