Mark speaks to us about Advent. We look towards the birth of Jesus and his return. We remember that church is a place to be transformed by Christ and to worship. Christmas is another chance for mission and to live and share the gospel.

Andrew reflects on the parable of the Rich Manager and Jesus' many teachings about money. He encourages to reflect on our giving and how we have power to enable the mission of the church through our giving.

Helen speaks on our ability to remember. As we come face to face with the suffering and violence of the world, we are encouraged to share our grief with each other and express our sorrow in laments to God. May we know peace.

Mark gives a clear and timely reflection on work to refocus on mission. He reflects on the importance of prayer in this context and for finding the right work/life balance.

Helen unpacks the story of the judge and the widow, looking at the faithfulness and good character of God and his mercy on us when we pray.

Going through the challenging passages of Luke, Andrew preaches on the parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus, encouraging us to hear Jesus' challenge, to restore disparity between rich and poor and those who are the 'in' crowd and those who are 'out.' We pray to remember our original calling, to be a blessing to others.

Bishop Pete speaks to us and the candidates for confirmation on the Shrewd Manager parable, encouraging those being confirmed. We pray for the candidates, that they may know and follow Jesus, to live counter-culturally for peace, justice and love of their neighbour.

Andrew encourages us to be active in this season of mission and outreach; to have a heart for the lost and look outwards to those in need. With opportunities for mission coming up; the Autumn Fair, Make Lunch and the Winter Night Shelter we are reminded to be outward facing. Simply to come along, to volunteer or to invite people is a way of showing God's love to the world.

For the last of our Summer Psalms, Andrew speaks to us on Psalm 25. We long and search for God's direction in our lives - 'Lord, teach me your ways.'

Helen speaks to us on one of her favourite Psalms - Psalm 95, also known as the Venite. Psalm 95 is a call to worship which acknowledges both the awesomeness and the closeness of God. It calls us to bow before him and open our ears to him, that we might know his rest.
