In this episode we turn back to a talk Andrew shared with us earlier in the summer, focusing on a passage from Mark, where Jesus chose to step away from the busyness around him to take time to pray. Andrew encourages us to divert daily, withdraw weekly and abandon annually. Following the reading from Stephanie we’ll hear from Andrew to explore these ideas in more detail.

This second episode of our Sabbath podcast takes us to Mark chapter 6, where Jesus explains the breadth of what is meant by Sabbath. Andrew unpacks this passage for us, exploring the creativity we can employ as we think about how we do Sabbath ourselves. Sunday 1 of Sabbath season: Jesus praying in solitude. The season of rest and posture of sabbath. Diverting from rhythms of stress.

The Son of man came eating and drinking - and he sends us out to share his Kingdom by doing the same.

The un-named woman and Jairus are two people who's faith in Jesus is an example for us all. Doesn't matter how big or small our trust in Jesus, we can trust in what he is capable of.

Faith: Forsaking All I Trust Him. The gift of faith is allows us to trust in Jesus, that he really can and will do the things we see in scripture in our lives.
