St Mary's Hanwell, Youth Group.

We continue to meet every Sunday morning during the 09-30 am service at St Marys, Hanwell.

Our base is the brilliant new wooden hut built behind the church. It has been called The Cabin, by the Youth. There were lots of suggestions for the best name, but The Cabin has proved the most popular.

The aim of our meetings together is to explore more about Jesus. Who is Jesus? What did He say? How can we receive Him today? During our sessions, we enjoy sharing news, chatting, eating as much toast or chocolate, (or both!), as possible. We look at a topical theme from the Scripture Union site, and back it up with Bible passages, plus videos, and music via the video projector. Time races by, but there is usually time for a game or two. The space in the Cabin allows us to play a range of games and challenges.

Our sessions end with prayer for each other, and any issues on our minds about the world’s news. After the Communion, there is time to return to the Cabin and enjoy selecting music videos and games. It’s a chilled time to be together. All Year 7’s and up to Year 13’s plus are welcome to join us.

Seven of our younger teens have recently followed a Confirmation course, and were confirmed by Bishop Pete of Willesden in the Spring.

We are exploring ideas for meeting at other times and places. More news to come.

Come and join us.
